Journalism spread like fluid in the body society, whether global or hamlet level. It is no longer attached with the great words of patriotism or service. Its heads, at the top may claim now and then that this much have catalytic or watch dog role rendered by our particular ‘facility’. But the people in the field no longer hold the ‘pride’ to the core and patiently fulfill their duty of scoring.
Now media print, audio, video and web has accustomed to the modern behavior and needs. The upstarts used to try to pool in lot of tools, techniques and build the capacity of syntax in the earlier days till early 1990s. Now, this is the age of some Degree or Diploma to support the entry into this avocation which may also lead to profession and ready reckoners to follow.
Mr. Prabhanjan Kumar Yadav is a serious student, from the beginning, still in the pursuit of adding degrees. He entered in to Journalism with the Degree in the subject, with lot of new hopes and ideas and so far ended up as the member of Indian Information Service, which is the zenith in the dreams of players of Public Relations. He has not satisfied with that and perennially alert to the challenges at various fronts, which include standards of Journalism and delivery of social justice.
He values every stage of his life and learning and wishers to present it in its original form, which benefits the chroniclers and the researchers to get the exact shape of the years.
This is his quick study conducted in 1988, when compared to the output from his present efforts. The choosing of topic itself displays the researchers urge to have strain free, policy consistent, satisfaction providing, cooperative managements of media organizations. His scientific effort is just an entry point for his next studies and future recordings of ground realities.
The practice of journalism is thoroughly challenging and fascinating. It gives great exposure to the enveloping of various situations. The working journalists meticulously, dispassionately involve in procuring almost all twists and turns of each development. These days, the visual media with live coverage besides so many new shapes and forms even in print is the basis to my comment in the beginning that Journalism spread like fluid in the body.
Mr. Prabhanjan collected responses from 50 scribes stationed in Hyderabad and Secunderabad twin cities, the capital of Andhra Pradesh state. This shall lead to wide ranging periodical study for improving the quality of life of average journalist.
His study recorded the dichotomy in the lives of this intellectual proletariat. His study states while general statement about the cooperation from managements is positive up to 70 percent where as about 43 percent voiced their anguish in elaboration, which is treated doubted as escapism or hypocrisy. This is the undercurrent to the strain mentally and otherwise faced by this class, which neither belongs to the beat nor to the organization they are working for. This is related to their intellectual faculties, which need nourishment. Prabhanjan’s study shall guide in this direction.
Prabhanjan – means sensation – shall fervently try for pathfinders in his chosen fields.
